(December 2016) Dianne V, our
Children's Church Convenor, wrote a most enjoyable Christmas
Drama from the perspective of onlooking angels. Jethro and Daniel
performed
their parts with great verve and it was appreciated by all. Thanks
Dianne for
all the excellent work you have done with the children. 2017 has seen us
moving to all age services so children are catered for and
included in our regular services. This is in line with the wishes of
the
parents involved and after discussion with the elders.
Wise Men (?!) arrive in Bethlehem: The children add some colour and liveliness to our Christmas Celebrations, 2009. Every Sunday in
term-time we provide a special programme for our children.
School-age children go next door to a separate programme called
'Light-force'. Older children are welcome to remain in the
service with their families and use sermon summary sheets to doodle,
play games, and respond to questions about sermon content.
Junior Youth Group members (preteens) meet with the senior
Youth
Group members immediately after the service to discuss what they got
out of the sermon, and enjoy a mid-morning snack together.
Parents are welcome to care for their children in the pews
throughout the service and there is a children's area at the back of
the church with activities and children's books. For those
who
prefer a bit more room there are also toys and resources in the church
foyer. An audio-visual link with the auditorium lets you know
what's happening in the service.
